Hey Wonderful Florida Trail Volunteers! The Stephen Foster Park in White Springs is in need of some help doing minor maintenance in the park. They are so helpful to us with our events I wanted to make sure to share an opportunity for you to give back to help them.
From the Park's Citizen Support Organization:
Hello all you CSO Members and Friends.
Stephen Foster Citizen Support Organization would like to invite any adult able to rake and move small debris to a Volunteer Work Day from 8 – 12 on Saturday 10/26/2024. All work will be conducted between the Museum and Tower inner perimeter. Heavy Equipment is still present in the park and on trails so work will be limited to this area. Please bring rake, gloves, hat, sunscreen and water.
Because of the equipment in the park, Management felt that children would need extra supervision and wants to make sure everyone is safe, so for now they are limiting the volunteers to anyone over the age of 17.
Please Enter through the NORTH Gate. Parking at the end of North Drive in between the two roads just before the loop begins.
The South Gate will be closed until further notice. Debra Walker - Park Manager also asks that you not drive to the South Entrance as that is where most of the heavy equipment is anticipated to be working.
