Hello fellow trailblazers,
We’re in the homestretch and with this lecture are wrapping up our wonderful series of presentations by our Big Cypress Park Service Rangers. Please join us as we hear from Ranger Jay Kissell as he presents….
Our 8-Legged Neighbors
Superstitions, misconceptions, and misunderstandings abound. How we feel about spiders is confusing. Why are they feared in some cultures and revered in other cultures? Are they creators or destroyers? Are they superheroes or villainous sidekicks? Why are they important to us and our environment? Join Ranger Jay Kissell as he weaves together a web of information to help us better understand and appreciate our 8-legged neighbors.
Ranger Jay’s lecture will be followed by a Q&A and then by Chapter business. Our special thanks to Ranger Lisa Andrews, the Outreach/Education Coordinator for the Big Cypress National Preserve and to Rangers Jay and Emily for their fascinating lectures in Jan and Feb. See you next season!
Please find attached the minutes of February’s meeting and the Agenda for March meeting.
I hope you join us……
