Come join us at this out-of-season, invitation-only adventure!
On this ~3 hr tour we will journey through the mangrove forests of Key Largo, cross tidal flats and paddle along the edge of the Atlantic as we learn about the area’s history and its future, all the while looking for the abundant birds, flora and fauna.
We will be accompanied by Janet Talbot who is not only an FTA Big Cypress member but a guide/instructor with the Florida Bay Outfitters. She practically lives and breathes for kayaking! She has done hundreds of miles paddling the rivers of Florida and beyond, and she has generously offered to give us pointers on technique, etc. I would absolutely be looking to pick her brains about rescuing fellow kayakers who’ve fallen in and getting in and out myself
