Celebrate National Trails Day with the Florida Trail Association!
Join us on Saturday, June 6, 2026 for a scenic hike through the beautiful rolling sandhills of the Ocala National Forest near Clearwater Lake.
Participants will have the option to hike between approximately 2–4 miles depending on comfort level and trail conditions, making this a great outing for both newer hikers and experienced trail enthusiasts.
After the hike, participants are welcome to cool off with an optional swim at Clearwater Lake (swimming area entry fee required).

Hike begins promptly at 8:15 AM
What to Bring
Plenty of water (1-2 liters)
Closed-toe sturdy shoes or hiking boots

Bug spray recommended
Consider wearing long pants for tick and bug protection

Restrooms are available at the recreation area (not at the trailhead)
This event is family-friendly, though participants should be comfortable hiking on uneven terrain.
