Come let’s explore one of the well-known trails at Long Pine Key. Look for your moon shadow, listen for an owl and see if you can spot one gliding by while you enjoy a night among friends.
INSTRUCTIONS: Meet at 7:00pm at Ernest Coe Visitor center at Everglades National Park. We will drive together to the trailhead in Long Pine Key. Once there we will review the hike and fill out forms at the trail head. Hike will start at 7:30pm latest. Sunset is at 7:54pm with the moonrise anticipated at ~9:12pm. We will hike approximately 2 – 2.5 miles into the trail and return on same trail. Entire hike will be 4-5 miles.
