Kick off the new year and come join Girls Who Hike FL and the Florida Trail Association Tropical Trekkers for a trail maintenance event along the Kissimmee River region from January 12-14!
Our crew will be hosted at Riverwoods Field Lab. This unique facility provides support for extensive research and educational activities related to the restoration of the Kissimmee River. The facility is essentially a house with a kitchen, living space, and two large rooms with several twin beds. You may choose to sleep inside or bring your own tent to camp on the property outside. Most folks will likely opt to camp, but it's up to you!
Plan to arrive no earlier than 4pm on Friday, January 12th to set up camp and have dinner with the crew.
You are welcome to join for the entire time or part of the time - just register for the days you wish to join. You are welcome to camp with us the night before any shift.
